YOURLIFEISATRIP.COM HONORED WITH SOCIETY OF AMERICAN TRAVEL WRITERS WESTERN CHAPTER WRITING AWARDS
Santa Fe, New Mexico. July 27, 2010 — YourLifeIsATrip.com was recently honored with two first-place writing awards from the Western Chapter of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW). The site won Gold awards in both Best Travel Blog and Best Revenue Producing Website categories.
“We're very proud of these awards,” said Ellen Barone, YourLifeIsATrip.com co-founder and publisher. “We’re thrilled that the site and our writers have been acknowledged by our peers in this way. Since its launch in 2009, thanks to an assemblage of 65+ contributors, YourLifeIsATrip.com has experienced rapid growth on the new reader and new subscriber fronts and is positioned well to reach like-minded travelers and support a wide array of collaborations and partnerships.”
“We had a vision of something unusual. Ask people who are storytellers to tell the stories of how specific trip - in life or on the road - impacted, moved or changed them,” said Judith Fein, YourLifeIsATrip.com co-founder and editor. “I am thrilled the vision has brought joy, information and meaning to so many others.”
The Western Chapter of SATW (www.satw.org) includes travel editors, writers and public relations representatives in 13 western states. Now in its 55th year, SATW is a professional association whose purpose is to promote responsible journalism, provide professional support and development for members and encourage the conservation and preservation of travel resources worldwide.
A group travel blog, YourLifeIsATrip.com was founded on the belief that there is no division between your travels, your life, your soul, your wellbeing, your relationships, your money, your work and your play. The site features different voices, different subjects, all related by the common theme – life as a trip.
